MCU Boy on Bed Night
We are shown our first character in the video with a boy sitting in his bedroom feeling sad. This is shown by his bodily and facial expressions. Also the use of blue lighting is used as the only lighting for the scene, this is because blue connotes the feeling of sadness and being lonely. He does movements like putting his head in his hands and looking at a picture of his former lover. This tells the audience the reason for his feelings and sets up the videos narrative.
CU The Buttons Night
The boy reaches over to grab a TV remote and the camera cuts to a close up of his bed side cabinet that contains the remote, a bottle of alcohol, sweet wrappers and the photo previously seen. This further shows the audience he is feeling down as these items are typically used to make people feel better or happier. He grabs the remote and turns the TV on in front of him.
MCU VHS Night
As the light from the TV illuminates his face, he sits back and watches old VHS footage of his past relationship. This is first shown via split screen then the footage takes priority. The audience is shown clips of the two enjoying each others company and being a loving couple. However, the footage has been taped over in some parts the another show. It is the 'live performance' of the song that is being played in the background and this makes the boy visually distressed. The VHS footage continues to jump between footage of the couple and the singer. Eventually the boy has had enough and angrily turns off the TV.
CU Drunken mess Day
The footage cuts to the boy waking up from his drunken sleep, signified by him cuddling the bottle of alcohol. He puts it back on the side and wipes his face. He leans over and checks his phone to find a text from the girl scene in the footage. The boy takes a moment to process and as the music begins to come back in he jumps out of bed.
CUT TO BLACK
MCU Scrubbing the choppers Day
We are shown the boy hastily brushing his teeth with a towel wrapped around his waist. The audience can assume he is getting ready to see the girl. The lighting chance from all blue to natural day light also signifies a change in is mood and tone with him being happy and excited that the girl is back.

Day
A shot of the boy in the mirror putting on his clothes and fixing his hair in preparation of the girl arriving.
